World Vision - just one big rip-off?
In class we talked about how people buy things like $15 scarves, and right next to that stand there is a World Vision stand. We also found out that in all the 4 hours the person stands at the World Vision stand, only 3 people actually come up to that person, and only 2 of those people actually agree to sponsor a child. We also talked about how its actually just this big rip-off, seeing as how only half of the money you give to them actually goes to your sponsor child…

I read this and said to myself what a rip off!!! For one, what’s the point of fifteen dollar scarves? You buy them and you don’t even wear it because you don’t want to ruin it! 5 dollar scarves are just as nice as 15 dollar scarves.
I find it pathetic, how only two people in four hours sponsor a child. A child that is in need is way more better than a fifteen dollars scarf.
When you buy a fifteen dollar scarf, your wasting your money, because you wear it for like two months (if you even wear it) then you put it in a box and chances are you get a new one next year.
If you would rather buy a fifteen dollar scarf instead of sponsoring a child in need, that is rude and selfish.
This is my opinion, and if I was eighteen and had the money, I would defiantly sponsor a child.
